Finding our inner truth can be challenging at the best of times. Add in fear, heightened emotions and living in ‘the age of information warfare’ – good luck! I don’t know about you, but the world seems louder to me. Time seems faster and there is so much going on. We are constantly being bombarded with loads of input – telling us what’s what out in the world – which even this information changes on a daily basis. What to do. How do we then, uncover the truth? How do we find our truth?
My number one piece of advice: If you want to uncover your truth – watch, listen, and pay attention to your body.
All the noise of electronics: TV, phones, YouTube, webinars, computer games, radio, etc – it’s hard to turn them off once they’re on. We’ve become addicted in a way to noise and distractions. And, there’s a good reason for that – who wants to stop and feel what’s really going on inside? You? Not many people will take this journey. It takes a brave soul to dive in and check out what’s what within. I can guess there’s a massive amount of pain that lives inside of humanity.

Are you willing to go there?
We fight everyday for our basic needs. We fight to keep our jobs, even though we may be miserable in that job – doesn’t matter, it’s income. We fight for every last human right we have left. We fight for survival as the cost of our daily essentials is skyrocketing. It feels like we’re being robbed in broad daylight! We fight to ensure our families are fed and safe. When survival is the first and foremost thing on our minds – who has time to go inside anyway? It feels futile. Why would I want to make myself more miserable? Why would I disturb the hard shell I’ve placed around my self just to get by?
I hear you. Don’t rock the boat. That’s fine. A journey to your inner self may not be for you . . . but if are you starting to question the ‘reality’ you are putting up with and really desire to find out your truth – read on.
Does something seem off to you, maybe not quite feel right? Pay attention to this – it’s one of the most important things, if not the most important thing that could happen to you in your life. It’s the beginning of your awakening. The beginning of your spiritual life, when you start to see outside the box (cage) you’ve been calling life.

It’s a major significant step and a very good sign. Don’t get me wrong, there’s loads of ‘work’ ahead, but nothing can compare to the elation of a spiritual awakening. The facade is blown, your reality is altered, everything is questioned and your life will never be the same. Welcome to living in truth. Once your outer world is questioned, you can take the journey to your inner world where your truth lives!
Following the leads from your body –
a great first step.
Throughout our lives, our minds have been stuffed with crap – programming and conditioning, negative beliefs about ourselves and others and biases which cause judgment. Your body on the other hand, may have been trying to get your attention for some time. For example: If you eat something that doesn’t agree with you, do you keep eating it? If it’s not good for you, this ‘food’ may be classified as poisonous to your system. It might be great for someone else, but for you – no.
The next question might be – why do I keep eating this food that hurts me? Allow the answer to come in time, as it will eventually bubble up.
Another quick example. For me, I’ve been noticing when I hold back speaking my truth, my body gets really tired and I feel flat. I’m not living authentically in this case. What keeps me from speaking my truth? For the most part, it’s a conversation in my mind talking me out of it. Something like: Really? They’ve all heard what you have to say and did what they wanted to regardless, what makes you think they want to hear you again? So I don’t say anything. Sometimes that’s ok too, but when my body is effected by holding back – it might have been something I needed to share.
Getting answers to our many questions may take time. Some of my answers showed up years later as they were all tied up and intertwined with my past. It’s a process. Once you are on the path to awakening, so much will be revealed to you. It’s exciting and also frightening at the same time – but well worth it. There’s a saying: You can’t put the genie back in the bottle. A spiritual awakening is just like this. The first time you question something that doesn’t look, feel or smell right – the key has been inserted in the lock, the door is opened and you step through – never to return back to the blindfolds.

Your body is your friend during your awakening process. It’s the one thing you can trust when you get started on your journey. Give your body some space to breathe, allow it to communicate to you, and most importantly – listen! If your feet are taking you left – go left. If your body says ‘NO’ then don’t do it. Listen and act on your body’s wisdom – you can’t go wrong!!

Ending Negative Self-Talk
Negative beliefs and self-talk are very destructive to ourselves and others, mostly because we believe these negative things we tell ourselves are true.
