All Things With God . . .

With God anything is possible. Without God, well it’s a rougher road to travel and it gets really exhausting. My experience tells me this is true. I’m not referring to the God of religion, but more of a higher power, creator God. It feels very important for me to get this lesson, the sooner the better, as it will directly impact my future. Usually, whether of not we are aware, this is the case. We receive a lesson or an opportunity to incorporate a learning into our lives that will have a direct influence on future events. The trick is being awake enough to realize this could happen.

I’ve been selling my products as a stall holder at a few Winter/Christmas fares locally this month. It’s been quite a learning experience as these were my first events I’ve ever participated in as a seller. It was really cool to think that people I didn’t know would purchase something I created. It’s a wonderful feeling. I really love rock tumbling, seeing the beauty in each rock revealed is quite a thrill! It’s fun for me to share this beauty with others.

Rocks from my local river – so much beauty!

My first experience as a stall holder was amazing. There was a decent amount of people that morning who came through the event, but it didn’t seem to matter because by noontime, I had only sold 2 pendants. My friend called me to see how I was getting along and I reported on my sales. She reminded me about turning it all over to God which led me to saying my favorite Florence Scovel Shinn affirmation:

I cast the burden on the Christ within and i go free.

In that moment, I made an intention to turn the rest of the day over to God. I placed my faith and trust in God’s plan for me. I let go of any expectations I had and relaxed into the experience. What a difference that made. Less people came to the event in the afternoon, but it didn’t seem to matter. People stopped at my table as if they were drawn there. The rest of the day went incredibly well and I really enjoyed myself. I had plenty of energy at the end of the event and was more than happy with how the experience went!

The trick is in remembering to do this daily!

The second event went ok. There were less people that came through than the first event. I had forgotten to turn my day over to God. My mistake. The third event was the worst of all. I really struggled with my energy and I could feel there was something off with my table set up. Things just didn’t feel right. And as it turned out, even with four times more people attending, I had less sales than the first event and I was exhausted afterwards leaving me feeling drained and disappointed.

Guess what I forgot to do . . . again? 🤦‍♀️

That’s right – I forgot to give my day to God. How could I have forgotten? It was a huge cost I experienced. Unfortunately, sometimes it needs to be this way – so we remember not to make the same mistakes over and over again. I used my own energy to sell my things, it was hard work. Sometimes pain is a good motivator. These three events clearly demonstrated the power of turning my life and will over to God. God’s plan for me is by far more abundant and prosperous than any other plan I could have imagined.

The difference between the three events show without a doubt, with God, all things are possible. With God, my life is easier, there is flow and amazing things happen. I’m happy to include God in my daily life as it is his Will, and not my will that keeps me on my Divine path.

I only desire that which Infinite Intelligence desires through me. I claim that which is mine by Divine right, and under Grace in a perfect way!

Acknowledge me in all your ways and I will direct your paths.

Here’s another great one:

I have weapons ye not know of, I have ways which will astound you.

Give it a try. You can’t go wrong. The Divine plan for us is by far greater than anything we can imagine. God places people on our path, takes us to places, and allows for synchronicities that leave the mind in awe. I sure am going to continue to include God in my day. I even thought of getting a tattoo on my inner eye lids to help me remember! 🤣

I know with all my heart my future depends on it as failure to do so may have devastating consequences. I choose not to go there, so I will endeavor to have God’s Will for me lead the way!

Florence Scovel Shinn Affirmations

Florence Scovel Shinn, I feel, is the leading authority on affirmations. I love her book, The Wisdom of Florence Shovel Shinn. This book contains four of her books: The saying: “Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.” is so true when reading Florence’s affirmations. Her book is my bible. I have…

Thank you! You are absolutely right – everything is in his hands and it would be a mistake to doubt him! Thank you for your great comment!!

Both Hubby and I listened to you Lovely post the other day Donna.. And loved it… And I was nodding as you said when we trust in God… how all things work out and when we doubt how often we can hit hitches etc…

I am pleased you have not been put off from your stalls and craft fares… It is daunting… I know, I tried it many years back with some items I had painstakingly painted to stand all day and only get one sale which didn’t cover the cost of the stall.. I think that day I bought more from other stall holders… LOL 🙂 so it was win win…. As I bought some items I had been wanting 🙂 xx

It all depends on how we view things and from which perspective…

But the satisfaction what we get when our work is admired and the conversations struck up, more than make up for the lack of sales…

And as you go to more, you will also get a eye for what sells, how to present your stall etc and it is all trial and error… Yet all the while you are gaining experience…

Sorry I am late arriving Donna…. I have been making mice, and Christmas cards…. And just enjoying the process of creating.. As I know you are now doing…

Sending LOTS of love and Hugs my friend… xx Sue xx

Hi Sue! Thank you for your great comment! I didn’t know you gave your hand selling your paintings! Very cool. Yes, the experience was priceless, I learned a lot and as you mentioned, I had some great conversations about rocks! I learned that lots of people have or had rock tumblers. I was quite surprised.

It led me to contacting the town’s library and offering to do a talk on rock tumbling for beginners. I’ve also contacted the Women’s Institute. It will be exciting to do a talk on the basics of rock tumbling and hopefully inspire some people to dust off their machines and check out some local rocks!

Overall, it was a positive experience, especially since it brought me back to God and surrendering, allowing my way to be made clear. It’s exciting as there is so much good around and to come!

Thanks again Sue!! Lots of love and hugs!! Donna xx

Fantastic Donna…. One door leads to another and so on and so on… 🙂 I used to belong to the WI… cake making etc… 🙂 I used to go with a colleague from work… I listened to some interesting talks…. 🙂 The Tumble stone talk I wish I could be a fly on the wall… 🙂

They were my paintings I did on tins… lol… they took a lot of work as I would paint tins in metal paint first then acrylic in the patterns or animals I did, and then varnish to make weather proof…
My stock I ended up giving away in the end to friends and family.. 🙂 I decided selling not my thing… 🙂 Maybe I didn’t hand it over to GOD lol 🙂

Sending LOVE dear Donna xx ❤

Hi Sue – I love your story about your tins. Selling isn’t really my thing either, it’s a different world than what I’m used to – and exhausting as I found out when I use my own energy. It’s weird because I love my product and want to share them with others, I also want to keep tumbling too. Glad I found out about turning it all over to God!! Take care Sue! xx
