What is Your Soul Desiring to Express? A Message From Two Great Inspectors!

I experienced synchronicity this past week that proved to be significant enough for me to investigate. I watched an episode of Agatha Christie’s Poirot and an Inspector Morse within a couple of days of each other. Just so happens, the two episodes were really similar – I unknowingly chose to watch the episodes where each inspector dies. I saw the last episode of Poirot and the last episode of Morse. Incredible, I thought: How can that be . . . and why?  Read More

Turn Fear Into Faith: Wisdom From Florence Scovel Shinn

In her book, The Power of the Spoken Word, Florence Scovel Shinn says: “Be Strong! Fear not: Fear is man’s only adversary.” She believes our word is our wand, filled with magic and power, and our word is the only weapon we can use to defeat our lions. “You face defeat whenever you are fearful!” Many of us at one time or another find ourselves at the mercy of fear, as in: Read More

We do not Completely Exist in Linear Time: Most of us Have Pieces Stuck in Other Timelines Needing Our Help

I was listening to a friend of mine the other day as she was sharing her story about being in a very traumatic car accident many years ago. She said it took a lot of physical therapy and hard work to fully recover. However, she recalled the panic she felt being trapped in the car, waiting for rescuers to free her and how this panic feeling is still with her today. She said anytime she feels “trapped” or sees someone “trapped” (like on TV) she is right back in that car, feeling panic again. Read More

Real Life Mimics Internal Self – A Personal Account of my Recent Hiring Experience

I had a dream last night that I showed up to work without my uniform. It got me thinking. I believe we manifest situations and people in our lives for ultimate growth and learning, especially if these situations and people really get under our skin. When this happens in my life, I take it as a sign that some part of me wants to leap out of a self-imposed box and have a breakthrough – almost as if to say: I’ve had enough of being bothered and want to move on from this ridiculousness.  Read More

Finding Your Humanity in Times of Stressful and Uncertain World Politics

I recently watched a video on compassion with Werner Erhard, a leader in the field of personal transformation, and Dr. Jim Doty, one of the world’s leading neurosurgeons. (The entire video is below.) I found it extremely beneficial in that I learned we, as humans, are hard-wired to care, it’s our default state and it’s how we function. As it turns out, compassion is the most optimal state for our health. When the heart and brain are working together, there are many, many benefits to us as humans.  It’s also been proven medically that we are made to care. Read More

Creating a Future of Possibility

Imagine what life would be like without judgment. As far as I can tell, judgment is pervasive and automatic: we do it without realizing. We judge ourselves and we judge others. We have opinions and we make comparisons. Our brain does this in split seconds and before we know it, our opinion or judgment is being thought and/or spoken. In order to do this we must access the past. Read More

I’m Coining a Phrase: “Blogger’s Discernment”

I’m fairly new to blogging, under a year, and have been spending time reading lots of great posts in WordPress . Under the advisement of a seasoned blogger, I started following the people who follow me, figuring we’d have similar interests. For the most part that has proven true. Then, from those blogs, I read other’s comments and if I liked the comment, I’d check out their blog too! So far so good, I’m having fun! Read More
